My Presidential Vision

First, to all ma fellow bloggers....hope u r all fine, up and doing well wherever u r. I ve bn so silent not coz i decided 2 do so, but the work-loads that ve kept me very busy and too exhausted to blog.....think of someone who must keep the company system up and running.

That aside, i ve bn moved by the way our so called politicians launch their presidential vision for this country. Each n everyone tries to bring in his/her new economic agenda to beat the other. We are currently enjoying economic boom, free education....n i would like whoever comes in next year will give free secondary and tertiary education....which will make Kenyans feel the growth of economy!

I also felt like launching my presidential vision if elected president...hell with u if u gonna ask me registration fee of Kshs. 2 million coz i ve never had a stake in any government institution; thus Pekiro's presidential vision will b:
If elected president:
1. No Kenyan will b taxed; i will only taxed companies and members of parliament
2. I will earn a salary a quarter of the current sitting president earns.
3. Industrialization is the key to economic growth, hence Kenya must ve its own car manufacturing plant.
4. Leadership will b endowed to the youth; All the old-guard must go.
5. I will recognise the blogosphere to spearhead the growth of ICT sector.
6. All government vehicles must not cost more a million Kenya shillings.

I hope i will get a competitor who will outdo me on that and may u all elect me. Have a visionary week and a working nation.

Hmm, interesting vision, lakini I'm not sure about #1. I think taxing is necessary for economic growth and stability, but changing the current form of taxing is not a bad idea.

Let me punch some holes into your vision.

You cannot change the taxing system as it is now. You must have an immediate plan on how you will finance an 800b budget. Even Kalonzo's tax dream will not work. May be in 60 years when the poverty line will be about 2%. Taxing the companies more means the companies will either close shop hence loss of lots of jobs or, they raise their prices by even about 1000%. Of which you will be 'taxing' the common man.

No Government vehicle will cost below 1m means the Government will be using second hand vehicles from Japan or Singapore. These vehicles will be like 7 years old and would include 110, 103s, L-Tourings, Nissan Sunny FB15s, and the 'best' Merc would be the A Class. This vehicles would not include the hot Camry, E240s, Not EVEN the new Shaped Caldina, No New Shaped Premio. Just some boring vehicles. Probably what you should have said is, no vehicle will exceed certain engine capacity, eg like no petrol vehicle would pitisha 3000cc.

Taxing MPs would be a very Noble Idea and I'd be down with that.

The reason why we have police harassing people on the roads or wherever is bcoz of the indiscipline that set in during thew Moi era. Thats why murder suspects get away with no sentence or even without stepping into any court rooms. All the matatu madness and crimes is because the police are mannerless and do not care about anything else except their stomachs. You need to have a disciplined force for you to secure the country. Some other form of indiscipline and lack of respect for the electorates is when we held in traffic for the president to pass. I did some estimates sometimes back and concluded everyone held in such a situation losses atleast KES500. Think about it hard and see how I came u with the figure.

Something else Pekiro, am surprised you didnt mention it being an IT guy. The Government has no proper IT policy. 4 years ago our parliament had not LAN. If the Speaker wanted some records from the Accounts office, he would walk there with 'what we used to call floopy disk' to get some shit. If I were to be a prezzi, one thing,I would ensure that Nairobi traffic and in any other major town would be automatically controlled from one central location with CCTV cameras as guide.

Because you live in Nairobi, you probably dont notice that this country has very little power. For an economy to run 24hrs, This country would need like 7 other Masinga dams. Lets have a refinery at a place like Lokichogio which wil get its oil from Sudan or even Libya through a pipeline. With this power, you would be able to irrigate a place like Turkana , Garrisa or any other part. Make blackouts a thing of the past.

The old geezers may not be all that bad. Kibaki is old, but this guy is working. The only thing I dont like about him is his pace. OOH other thing, having imbeciles (Someone had to say this) for Ministers. They are all there, you see them making stupid demands and comments in public.

Do you need someone to advice you on this issues? You can have me as part of you ":New Spin Mafia"

There are several things that need to be straitened for this country to be an economic tiger.
