Is This The Way To Handle Love?

Sometimes love bcomes so painful, but we gotta handle it in order not hurt ourselves. I ve come and analyze in my own feelings and conclude it as follows:

If you find yourself in love with someone who does not love you, be gentle with yourself. There is nothing wrong with you. Love just didn't choose to rest in the other person's heart. If you find someone else in love with you and you don't love him/her, feel honored that love came and called at your door, but gently refuse the gift you cannot
return. Do not take advantage, do not cause pain.

How you deal with love is how you deal with you, and all our hearts feel the same pains and joys, even if our lives and ways are different.

If you fall in love with another, and she falls in love with you, and then love chooses to leave, do not try to reclaim it or to assess blame, Let it go. There is a reason and there is a meaning. You will know in time.

Remember that you don't choose love. Love chooses you. All you can really do is accept it for all its mystery when it comes into your life. Feel the way it fills you to overflowing, then reach out and give it away.

Give it back to the person who brought it alive in you.
Give it to others who deem it poor in spirit.
Give it to the world around you in anyway you can.

This is where many lovers go wrong. Having been so long without love, they understand love only as a need. They see their hearts as empty places that will be filled by love, and they begin to look at love as
something that flows to them rather than from them.

The first blush of new love is filled to overflowing, but as their love cools, they revert to seeing their love as need. They cease to be someone who generates love and instead become someone who seeks love.
They forget that the secret of love is that it is a gift, and that it can be made to grow only by giving it away.

Remember this, and keep it to your heart. Love has its own time, its own seasons, and its own reason for coming and going. You cannot bribe it or coerce it, or reason it into saying. You can only embrace it when it
arrives and give it away when it comes to you.

But if it chooses to leave from your heart or from the heart of your lover, there is nothing you can do and there is nothing you should do. Love always has been and always will be a mystery.

Be glad that it came to live for a moment in your life.
Don't deny love just only you don't want to be hurt...

IF YOU KEEP YOUR HEART OPEN,
IT WILL COME AGAIN!

Linux Operating System; The Next IT Solution Component

When life sucks, get the best u want 2 light up ur life. This July is so cold that i hate waking up early every morning. For the last two weeks i ve bn arriving at work very late. I ve bn oversleeping.

The life sucks more when u arrived at work, switch on ur comp. and u find it has bn hacked by some foreign elements. I mean, it has bn attacked by a virus or a worm. All ur data losed. What do u gonna do? Start 4rm the scratch, n if u aint a computer wizard u r in trouble looking for the nearest IT technician to sort ur problems, meaning another unplanned budget!

By this, u r juz cursing ur internet connectivity or provider for nothing instead of Microsoft chief, Bill Gates. I say this because majority of all the desktops are running microsft windows of which i found to be more prone to problems than any other OS.

In conjunction with one of my colleague, we have done thorough research and found that u better run Linux OS than Microsoft Windows. While 90% of Desktops in Kenya run on Microsoft windows platforms, 90% of servers run on Linux platforms of which it has bn accredited for its data security than MS servers. The reasons are:

1) Linux is more secure than MS windows considering the importance of servers.
2) Linux is cheaper in maintenance and installation than MS Windows.
3) While Linux is a 'free' open source software, where 'free' here means freedom; freedom to edit, improve and customize the way u like, MS windows is a restricted to only Microsoft Inc. U ve no rights to alter it components.
4) In MS windows, u ve 2 buy other programmes like Office, Linux OS is inclusive.
5) While u ve to buy different installation CDs for different products like servers, home editions, desktops etc, Linux products comes in one CD and it gives u an option of installation e.g. Desktops or Servers.
6) While it takes 3 to 4 months and expensive to learn how to use MS office, it only takes approximately 1 week to learn how to work with Linux.

Those are the few advantages of Linux over MS Windows. While compiling the report, we found most respondents wants the most secure, cost effective and efficient operating system of which advice them to use Linux.

In this context, we will mobilize, great awareness, install and train users on how to use Linux. Linux is user friendly OS. Trust me, Linux is the best operating system. This is a first hand information, i run Linux on my desktop, Ubuntu Linux.

For more information, contact me here. We run a Linux training, installation and consultancy firm.

SMOKING BANNED IN NAIROBI CITY

It has bn along time since i blog, but i waz forced to blog by what Nairobi City Council did 2day. After successful banning of smoking in public in Nakuru, now the hammer has hit right in the city.

Non-smokers like me will be very happy by that decision coz: 1) I will never puff more smoke into my lungs in the matts where the makangas usually hang precariously on the door smoking and exhaling all smoke inside the mat not considering the fate of passengers. and 2) This guy who usually smoke in the lift will stop!

As i say kudos to the city god-fathers, i know the smokers are up in arms and 2morow don be surprised to find them in courts trying 2 stop this ban.

To all smokers, be on the look-out while smoking coz u might spend a night in the cold. I smoking should be banned in all public places all over the country.

My Presidential Vision

First, to all ma fellow bloggers....hope u r all fine, up and doing well wherever u r. I ve bn so silent not coz i decided 2 do so, but the work-loads that ve kept me very busy and too exhausted to blog.....think of someone who must keep the company system up and running.

That aside, i ve bn moved by the way our so called politicians launch their presidential vision for this country. Each n everyone tries to bring in his/her new economic agenda to beat the other. We are currently enjoying economic boom, free education....n i would like whoever comes in next year will give free secondary and tertiary education....which will make Kenyans feel the growth of economy!

I also felt like launching my presidential vision if elected president...hell with u if u gonna ask me registration fee of Kshs. 2 million coz i ve never had a stake in any government institution; thus Pekiro's presidential vision will b:
If elected president:
1. No Kenyan will b taxed; i will only taxed companies and members of parliament
2. I will earn a salary a quarter of the current sitting president earns.
3. Industrialization is the key to economic growth, hence Kenya must ve its own car manufacturing plant.
4. Leadership will b endowed to the youth; All the old-guard must go.
5. I will recognise the blogosphere to spearhead the growth of ICT sector.
6. All government vehicles must not cost more a million Kenya shillings.

I hope i will get a competitor who will outdo me on that and may u all elect me. Have a visionary week and a working nation.

Football Craze.

The premiership season is over. My all-time team, Man U are the champions after toppling the star studded Chelski....who could use all the force to score......truly speaking i ve never seen a the bluez play beautiful game.

Speaking of football, there are some few players who ve bn so fantastic. Christiano Ronaldo is the most skilled player, i am always dump-founded by his dribbling skills. His speed could leave the opponent defenders gasping for air! No wonder he won three trophies. He deserved them. Another is Wayne Rooney, the usually bad-tempered boy, waz juz amazing. His speed and striking force made sure Man U were on top of the game.

Though Arsenal showed some good football, the inexperience of its young players didn't help much. I wonder why the hell could Wenger always said they were defeated coz his players are still young! No, this is a competitive game! why could u put young players? One Theo Walcott deserve credits here.

By the way, u r all invited for a live concert called "ZINA" at Kenya National Theatre on 20th May, 2007, from 1.30 PM. If want a ticket holla @me, Its only Ksh. 200.

It All Happened....an Accident!

First, i ask God 2 give strength to all the families, friends and all Kenyans of the KQ airliner victims.

Accident is something that happened, it juz happens instantly. I recall very well last week part 1 when my friend and i had decided to take a ride to Meru. I decided to drive on our way there, as we had agreed with that he will drive back. The beautiful scenery, meandering road btw Embu and Meru. We rode safely all the way, had a fantastic time at Meru county Hotel.

At around 6 in the evening, we started our journey back to Nairobi, ma friend was behind the the steering cruizing swiftly as we negotiate the sharp corners of the highway. Not knowing the fate that will befall us ahead, we found a small grocery along the highway then we decided 2 buy some bananas as they cheaper over there.

It waz really a tempting road coz of its sharp corners, after Nkubu, there are sharp corners as we descend towards a place nick-named '72'...i ve no idea how it got that name.... u r descending down the hill as u take sharp corners...suddenly, there waz a loud burst of a front-right tire...i juz heard the vehicle like its flying, hit a ditch on the left side of the road which waz the hillside, n cruize down along the ditch as it attempt to climb the hill.....it took the brave heart of ma friend to switch off the engine. Nobody waz injured, but the vehicle waz badly damaged.

I thank God the vehicle didn't to the right side of the road coz, there a valley....ending down is a river. It took more than two hours for a breakdown vehicle to remove in the ditch.

Economy View

I know many people wonder why of late i ve bn so silence. No! I ve bn running around checking on the Kenyan economic growth. U can even c that i ve changed my template. Its now a cool thing.

The fact that i changed it is bcoz of some business ideas. 2gether with ma biz partners we ve started a stock brocking company. We deal with buying and selling of shares in NSE and opening of CDSC accounts. From May, i will concentrate more on that biz than ma professional field.

We were driven into it by the demand of many Kenyans who r currently enjoying economic boom and ve more disposable income which they would rather invest them in shares or something that gives a return. Currently there is Access Kenya IPO, but this is for only individuals who would afford more than 5000 shares meaning more than KSH. 50,000. The common mwananchi cant afford that. To follow is Kenya Re and of course the one and the only company which millions of Kenyans are waiting for, the most profitable company in East and Central, Safaricom.

Talking of Safaricom, there is a danger looming coz some individuals want it to be listed in NYSE or London Stock Exchange, claiming its too large to be handled by NSE...this is a big lie...this is juz the propaganda of making Safaricom a foreign company! Its profits are from Kenyans, so why should u take them away to a foreign land? NSE is growing, n it can only grow if large companies like Safaricom list in it.

My Holiday Fusion and Optimism

There are numerous examples of people throughout the world who have overcome handicaps to achieve great success. One thing separates these winners from those who fail: they disregard any and all obstacles. These people-and all winners-possess the will to win. It's a will that starts with a belief in our ability to achieve the goals we dream of accomplishing.

Unfortunately, the world does not provide much inspiration on a daily basis. From the reporting of mostly negative news, to a "20% chance of rain" mentality, to music that tells us that love must be a painful experience, most people have few daily reminders that they can obtain personal and professional greatness without having to win the lottery.

We are all faced with challenges at some point in our life, challenges that we did not create. Challenges that happened beyond our control. The difference is how we respond to these challenges. You can adopt the attitude there is nothing you can do, or you can see the challenge as your call to action.

"Become a 'possibilitarian'.
No matter how dark things seems to be or actually are, raise ur sights and the possibilities. Always see them, for they r always there"

Don't let go of your dreams. If you have determination and belief in your dreams, you will succeed in spite of your desire to let go. This poem really puts me on top of the world. When am down or rather feel bad i usually read it. Especially when someone wanna make ur ride rough or come over ur way, or wanna pin u down. I wishing u all a very nice and prosperous Easter holidays, enjoy urselves.

If you can't be a pine on the top of the hill,
Be a scrub in the valley-but be
The best little scrub by the side of the rill;
Be a bush if you can't be a tree.

If you can't be a bush be a bit of the grass,
And some highway happier make;
If you can't be a muskie then just be a bass-
But the liveliest bass in the lake!

We can't all be captains, we've got to be crew,
There's something for all of us here,
There's big work to do, and there's lesser to do,
And the task you must do is the near.

If you can't be a highway then just be a trail,
If you can't be the sun be a star;
It isn't by size that you win or you fail-
Be the best of whatever you are!

The guy waz arguing that a pot-bellied lady is not very attractive. Then the ladies waz saying that they don wanna date any pot-bellied man! They cant even imagine how they can ve sex with a pot-bellied man!

Ad Madness!

Sometimes u wake early in the morning n u think people r crazy. I mean when u look arnd wherever u r u just get amazed, surprised or u find urself laughing alone.....like using a phone with blue-tooth..u will find a person talking n laughing...n if u dont scrutinize very well u will think 'amerogwa'.

Oh, where waz i? I waz talking abt the craziness which is hitting Kenyans. There this ad abt 'kufungua account bila chochote na Barclays'. Look at the man with only pants, socks and shoes. I just laugh to myself and thought that they didn't pass their point very well. Ati "Sasa unaweza fungua account bila chochote", first, the guy posing should ve bn pure naked 2 mean that u can open with nothing...in that everybody will b interested with the ad n will know exactly its meaning!

That will take the advertisement to another level! Isn't this crazy? Again there is something its juz killin kabisa! Are the ad companies lacking the spaces to advertise? Adverts are all over the place...now they r putting on buses! Very soon we will c them sticked on animals!

Have a gr8 advertising day!

The City Glory is Here

It has bn a long time since i blog. But i waz cruising around the city and a realised that while some people glory 'are gone', the 'glory is here' for Nairobi city. Kudos goes to the city godfathers for the work they are doing. The city is fast gaining its past glory of 'the city in the sun'. The most notable things are the tree planting..dubbed 'Nairobi City Beautification Programme' and street lighting projects. The city roads are glittering at night, thanx to one woman called..Esther Passaris n her Adopt-a-Light.

Pavements are no longer muddy on rainy days and dusty on sunny days. Currently, the projects is xpanding to the city estates. City slums and estates are nolonger dark at nite. Rehabilitations of some landmark

buildings like KICC which is fast earning Kenya foreign income through conference tourism. Whoever sees no change in the city should have a walking tour.

Windows Vista

What way forward? I ve bn so busy nowadays, working like a termite till late evening. Guess what i ve bn doing? Trying to put up some things to ve the latest 'face' in the market. When you are working in a field where technology matters and you must get updated with the latest offers in the market and make your company be the role model to other companies who depends on technology to run their daily biz. Oooh! what a long expalnation?

The point is, i waz busy upgrading my company's system to the latest 'Bill Gates' product 'Windows Vista'. An improvement of windows Xp. It looks splendid, easy to use. The fact is, its more advanced than other windows OS. U gotta try this.

Windows vista makes the customization and deployment easier. You can easily add drivers, service packs, updates n languages to it. It provides tools that help you inventory, test, migrate data and user state.

"Free Love"

"Love wins; love always wins," it has been said. But throughout most of our agrarian past, love lost, at least among the upper classes. Today I am optimistic about romantic love, because we are returning to patterns of romance that humankind enjoyed across most of our deep history: choosing lovers and spouses for ourselves.

Parents may have started to arrange their children's marriages when the brain began to develop some two million years ago. But in those few hunting and gathering societies that still survive, parents only initiate the first wedding of a son or daughter. Moreover, this contract is flexible. If the callow newlyweds are not happy with their match, they pick up their few belongings and walk home. The contract has been honored and parents are pleased to see their youth again. The young go on to choose their next partner for themselves.

But as our forebears began to settle down some 10,000 years ago, and as they acquired immoveable property like fields of grain and sturdy homes, they began to need to cement their social ties. What better way than to wed your daughter with my son? Strictly arranged marriages became a way to built one's fortune and secure one's genetic future. These marriages had to endure, too. In some farming communities, you could fall in love with whom you chose; but you married the "right" individual, with the "right" kin connections and "right" social, economic and political ties.

The widespread tradition of strictly arranged marriages began to dissipate with the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. As men and women left the farm for factory work, they no longer needed to maintain many of these connections. They could chose partners for themselves.

Today this movement is gaining speed, due to two dramatic world trends: the global rise of women in the paid labor force; and the aging world population. For millions of years women commuted to work to gather their fruits and vegetables and came home with much of the evening meal. Women were economically, sexually and socially powerful. With the invention of the plow, however, women lost much of their economic independence. But as women go back to work and come home with money, they are reacquiring their economic autonomy—and their ancient ability to choose their lovers and spouses for themselves. With the aging world population, high divorce and remarriage rates, and many modern inventions, from Viagra to hip replacements, women (and men) now have the time, opportunity and health to make their own match, what the Chinese call "free love."

And along with the rise of romantic love within marriage has come what sociologists hail as the 21st century marital form, known as peer marriages, symmetrical marriages or companionate marriages: weddings between equals. "Marriage is the only adventure open to the cowardly." Today more and more men and women have the opportunity to enjoy this adventure—life with someone they passionately love. In this way humanity is regaining a tradition that is highly compatible with our ancient human spirit.

How Can you Be in Love?

Someone ask me a question: "How can i t
ell am in love?", but it is not an easy question to answer. What feels like love to one person may be nothing more than attraction to another. Some people fall in and out of love quickly and often while others are never really in love as much as they ar in lust.

Love is the total surrender of your heart to another person with the security of knowing they will treat it better than you will. Love should feel good. It should not feel bad. Love should make you want to be a better person, it should not lead you to do something self destructive. Love is not demanding of your spirit but lifts it and makes it glow. Love is a good thing. Anything less is lust, deep friendship or attraction. So the sappiness aside, the question remains, how can you tell you are in love?

There is no easy way to find the truth behind your feelings or the feelings of another person but there are some tell-tale signs that love is blooming (or growing deeper). If you agree with 7 of the following 9 statements you are probably in love.

  1. You know, because you have been told by your significant other, that your deep feelings are returned in kind.
  2. The object of your affections makes you feel special and good about yourself.
  3. If/when you feel jealous it is always fleeting; you trust your partner not to betray you or hurt your relationship.
  4. Nothing makes you feel as serene as when you and your partner are together.
  5. When you fight with your partner you usually make up within a few hours and you always agree that nothing is more important than you both being able to express your true feelings (even if they sometimes cause conflict).
  6. Your partner never asks you to choose between him/her and your loyalties to your family and friends - if you do choose him/her over them you always have a good reason and it is always YOUR decision, and your decision alone.
  7. Neither you or your partner feel the need to test the other's loyalties or feelings.
  8. You are more yourself when with your partner than you are with anybody else.
  9. If sex is part of your relationship it is by mutual desire and agreement without the slightest hint of commitment testing or persuasion.
Things u should know about love:

  1. Love does not hurt. Physical and/or emotional abuse are not a part of love.
  2. Love is not manipulative, it should not be used to get others to do what you want. You should never give in to demands based on the, "You would do it if you loved me!" tactic.
  3. Love is an intense feeling of caring for another person. It can take many different forms (romantic, friendly, familial) but it is always about caring.
  4. Although it is true that a big part of love is putting another person's happiness ahead of your own this never includes compromising your values or being untrue to yourself.
  5. If somebody asks you to do something that you don't want to do in order to "prove" your love they do not love you the way you might think they do. When you love another person you don't ask them to sacrifice a part of themselves in the name of that love.
  6. It is very easy to confuse lust for love. The true measure of romantic love is commitment and trust not physical attraction.
  7. It is possible to feel romantic love for more than one person at a given time. Just think, if it is possible for you to love both of your parents at the same time why would it be impossible to feel romantic love for two people at once? Don't beat yourself up emotionally if you find yourself in this unhappy situation. But be sure to remain single and be open and honest with all parties about your feelings and confusion.
  8. Sex is NOT love. Love is NOT sex. Sex can be a part of romantic love but it is never mandatory.
  9. Romantic love can (and often does) fade. When it goes there is not always a reason. When somebody falls out of love with you it does not reflect upon your value as a person or your desirability.
  10. Love should make you feel happy, secure and appreciated.
To be continued with another quiz......

And The Love That is....

Peeping through the window in our offices, overlooking the intersection of the two streets. Traffic jams everywhere. Thats how Nairobi streets look like. But i waz not interested in the traffic snurl up, but the movement of Nairobians. I noticed that there are more ladies in the streets than men. Beautifully dressed. Then i flashed back to what appeared in 'Daily Nation' and the
'Cracy Crap' coments on the Kenya's single women. Not that they fail to get Mr. Right but they are very selective. I know i will be under fire for this post from all the single ladies.

If you find yourself in love with someone who does not love you, be gentle with yourself. There is nothing wrong with you. Love just didn't choose to rest in the other person's heart. If you find someone else in love with you and you don't love him/her, feel honored that love came and called at your door, but gently refuse the gift you cannot return.

They see their hearts as empty places that will be filled by love, and they begin to look at love as something that flows to them rather than from them.

You can only embrace it when it arrives and give it away when it comes to you.

2007 Wel Come Note

I ve juz reported back in da office 2day, n i must say hi to ma fellow bloggers outta there who made 2006 so fantastic. As i sit back in ma desk, trying to configure where to start..finally, i decided to start ma day with a blog post. Its gonna take me more than 1 week 2 bring back ma mind to work after long holidays, i say this coz it was fun uniting with all ma extended familyand friends, chat abt few things...which made me forget abt job depression a little bit.

The year 2006 waz filled with passion, fun n of course lots of work which could give u an headache at the end of the day...but all waz good good, coz if its aint for the job, u cant put the meal on da table. I learnt one thing last year, u must appreciate ur job coz there are millions out there who are crying for a job. No matter how hard it is, juz appreciate it.

This is the year 2007 that we hope its gonna be good, filled with joy, peace, unity, love and plenty of food for the hungry.

We should make our beloved country corruption free. Wooo! this reminds me of our highways, the traffic police officers are very corrupt. I remember vividly how some traffic policemen/women on Sotik-Kericho highway take bribes, 14 seater matatus knows no Michuki rules, they carry more the 18 passengers at the full watch of this cops. God ve mercy on them! Not only on this route its all over the country. Its only in Nairobi where Michuki rules are applicable!

We hope this year there will no famine in the country as it used 2 b, no floods. This year should be a new dawn in the Middle East crisis. May peace prevails. May there be peace, love n unity in da whole world.

I am wishing all of your a prosperous 2007. Thats ma prayer.

Happy people.
